On Saturday morning I had grand plans to sleep in. Terence had left every early to go fishing with the guys and I had no intentions of waking up before he got home. Unfortunately as anyone with young children knows they often spoil your plans of peaceful sleep. Right about the time Terence closed the backdoor and turned on his car at 6:00am Corey woke up and wanted to chit chat. I laid in bed with him for a while dozing in and out hoping he would fall back to sleep but no such luck. So we went downstairs. I logged onto Facebook to see what everyone was up to and posted something about finding something to do on such a beautiful day. Aunt Pam instantly wrote back asking if we wanted to go swimming at McChord (Air Force Base) and in no time at all plans were set.
I LOVE swimming at McChord! It's a steal at a dollar a person, it's never very crowded, it's outdoors and the pool still has all the fun things that most pools don't have like a deep end and a high dive. They also have the most glorious thing in the world, Adult Swim! At 15 till every hour they blow a whistle and all the kids have to get out. This is what we looked like during adult swim.
Of course we were not the only ones having fun during adult swim. They sell ice cream bars and other treats at the front of the pool so while we were swimming Aunt Pam had Michelle go and buy the boys a treat. So this is what Connor and Corey looked like during adult swim. I don't think they minded not being able to swim.
Having Sarah, Laura and Michelle there to help with the kids was awesome and I actually had a lot of time just to sit and relax. I even read a magazine at one point and caught up on what the Kardashians have been up to this week. Thank you so much to Aunt Pam and Uncle Mike for inviting us to come down and hang out with you. It was a great day!
