By Special Request

I apologize for those of you who saw the last video of us singing happy birthday to Connor. This one is pretty much the same thing but I am posting it for Heather. She really misses her nephews and specifically requested to see it. This one is funny because I almost drop the cake at the begining of it.

Happy Birthday Connor!

Since this seems to be the new tradition I wanted to make sure I did my obligatory birthday blog post for Connor. It's only been two years but I can't imagine my life without my little buddy. He is truly a joy and a blessing in our lives. Connor we love you so much! Happy Birthday!

Video for My Dad

This is the video I made for my dad for fathers day. I wanted to post it so Judy could see it and see what I was thinking of doing for Opa for his birthday. Warning, it's long and there is sound.

Big Boys Don't Cry!

Yesterday we celebrated Connor's birthday a little early since my Mom, Dad, Jared and Emily will all be in Mexico on Connor's real birthday. My Mom bought Connor and cake and we sung happy birthday to him. Connor has been taught from a very young age that he needs to stay away from fire because it's very hot. This is what happened when we lit the candles on his cake. We all thought it was pretty funny.

The Lord will Provide

Terence was asked to give a talk in church this Sunday. His topic is the Lord will Provide. He is trying to come up with some good examples of how the Lord has provided. If any of you have good stories or examples of how you have been provided for send them our way.

Milestone

Most of you know I had lapband surgery back in March of this year. I have recently hit one of my biggest milestones. I have now officially lost 50 pounds! I was going through some pictures the other day and found a before picture (don't laugh). My goal is to lose 50 more before my one year mark of my surgery. Thanks to all of you for being so supportive of me through this. Losing weight is not an easy thing to do and if I did not have amazing family support I would not be able to do this.

Before and After or (should I say in between)

Teach your child while in his youth

The other day we were at Jared and Emily's house for dinner. Emily made this really good Chili and corn bread muffins. Corey was not so big on the chili but really liked the muffins which he proceeded to make a huge mess on the floor with. So we broke out the vacuum and made Connor clean it up. I figure it's never to early to start him doing chores. Now if I could just get him to scrub toilets.

It just keeps getting shorter!

So the other day I went to get my hair trimmed and instead they cut a lot off. I went from having pretty long hair to medium length hair to now what I would consider short hair. I don't think it's bad though. I actually like it and it's super low maintenance. What do you think?
Here is the front.Side
This is the first picture I have ever seen of me where I actually think Heather and I look alike.

Family Picture

For a long time now Terence and I have wanted to get a family picture taken with all of us, including the dogs but have never gotten around to it. The other night we were playing with our new camera (which I love!) and figured out how to use the timer. We made a couple of attempts to get a picture with everyone and here is the result. The first one was OK and the second one we started falling apart. Finally for the third one we got rid of the dogs and I think it turned out OK. (please ignore that Terence is in his pajamas and there is a shoe and a dog collar on the floor)

Cute Corey

Corey totally cracks me up! Anytime he see's the camera he smiles even if he is in the middle of crying. This picture proves that. Note the tears on his face.

Here are few more cute pictures of Corey!

GG Bear

Connor has never been big on stuffed animals. He has been given lots of them mostly by his Grammy and they just kind of sit around. However he has been given two stuffed animals by my Grandma Lutz that he absolutely loves! One is a Zebra that kind of reminds me of the fruit stripe gum logo.
He sleeps with this Zebra every night and every morning when he gets up he lays it on his pillow and puts the blanket over it like he is tucking it back in. The other one is GG bear. We named it that because it was given to him by his Great Grandma and the name stuck. I have never seen him play with any toy more than GG bear. He shares his food and cup with it and carries it around with him when he is home. When I was growing up I had a heart to heart bear that I loved! Terence had two Snoopy stuffed animals that were his favorite. We both still have those to this day. Who knows maybe 20 years from now Connor will still have his Zebra and GG bear.

Our weekend in Chelan

Terence's Mom and Dad have been asking us for about three years now to go to Lake Chelan for a weekend with them. The last two times they have asked I have been pretty pregnant and not up to taking a long car ride over the mountains. This time around I was not pregnant and both of the boys are old enough that it sounded like a fun idea. Friday afternoon we left around 2:00pm. The drive over to Chelan on highway 2 was beautiful!! The leaves on the mountains are changing and the colors were amazing! It took us about 2 and half hours to get there which is the perfect amount of time for the boys in the car (any longer than that and they start losing patience). We got to the hotel and checked in, Terence's parents reserved the penthouse suite it was as big as our house. I kept thinking the whole time how fun it would be to go there with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Terence jumping on the bed in our room when we got there. This is the bed that we were supposed to sleep in. Note the crib in front of it. Connor and Corey both did not sleep at all the first night! Terence ended up sleeping here.I had to stay in the other room with the boys since they both wanted me. They were up from 1:10am until 3:45am and then they both woke up at 7:00am. This is what I looked like in the morning. HAHA!

We went for a walk on the beach after breakfast the first morning and a really nice women took a picture of all of us. Connor got sand in his eye right before the picture was taken but I really like how it turned out.

During the day Terence's Dad and Terence went and played golf. Terence's Mom and I ended up sitting on the balcony all day watching the world go by. It was a coincidence that they were having an at antique hydro event on the lake right outside our room. Connor called them the noisy boats since they were super loud. He had a great time watching them.

They got the boats in and out of the water with a huge crane. Before the trip we bit the bullet and bought a new camera. Connor and I were playing with the self portrait mode.Keenan family portrait...we were laying on the floor. This morning Terence's Dad (Pop as Connor calls him) took Connor over to Starbucks and bought him a hot chocolate. They sat out on the balcony and drank it while they looked for ducks and for some reason bears.

The trip was a lot of fun! We are planning on going back and doing it again next year.
