blah weather

So for those of you keeping track the weather, SUCKS!  I'm so tired of the clouds and rain I could scream.  It's the end of June and we have had almost no sun since, oh I don't know, 2009!  I mean seriously, it's been terrible.  The weather man keeps saying that July is supposed to be dryer then average but I will believe that when I see it.  There is one silver lining to all of this and that is we can sleep at night.  No AC required.  We probably don't even need our window open.  If it was not for the leaves on the trees and the sun rising at 4:00am I would say it was the middle of March not the end of June.  I hope the weather man is right and we actually do get some sun in July and August. I'm ready for some vitamin D!

I don't like food anymore!

So as all of you know, I am pregnant.  I will be 12 weeks tomorrow, yay!  I'm so excited about this because I am hoping that my nausea and food aversions will go away soon.  Thankfully I don't throw up a lot in my first trimester but I do feel like I'm going to 24/7 which in some ways may be worse.  The thought of eating anything sends a chill down my spine and makes my throat close up.  It's the pits.  Yesterday I went down to the cafe here at work looking for anything that sounded remotely good.  I ended up with a cup of green olives and some cranberry juice.  The olives were great and they actually sat really well.  Surprisingly I did not get any heartburn either.  I'm in survival mode until this goes away which basically means eat anything that sounds good.  Like I said, I hope this goes away soon.  Wish me luck!

Idea Journal

A couple of weeks ago my sweet sister Emily gave me a very nice gift!  It's a journal that she told me to keep in my purse to write ideas for blogs down on as they come up through out the day.  What a great idea!  I cannot tell you how many times a day I think, oh I should blog about that and then I don't.  Just yesterday I wrote down eight things I wanted to write blogs about.  Hopefully this will help me get on track.  Thank you Emily for the journal!  I love it!

Button Nose

Last night after I had gotten the kids down for bed I was laying in my room watching TV and Terence was hanging out downstairs.  All of the sudden I hear Connor in his room freaking out!  I told him to come see me and tell me what was wrong.  He said he could not get the button out of his nose.  WHAT??  Connor had stuck a button up his nose and had gotten it stuck.  Terence came running upstairs with the phone, freaking out, worrying about if Connor could breath or not (he could) or if we should call 911 (no).  I tried to calm both of them down as I got dressed, I figured I would have to take him to the ER to have it removed.  Once we were in the car driving down our street I told Connor to put his finger on the side of his nose that did not have the button and blow as hard as he could with the other side.  For those of you who don't know the technical term for that it's called a Farmer blow.  Lovely, I know.  Anyway it worked!  Connor was able to get the button out of his nose and we avoided a trip to the emergency room.  I think he has learned a valuable lesson about sticking things up his nose although I did catch him with his finger in there this morning.

I'm back!

Well technically I have not gone anywhere but I have been TERRIBLE about blogging.  I have not been feeling great lately and the time that I usually spend blogging is now spent in bed vegging out and trying to fall asleep.  I also am a very all or nothing person and once I got behind on my blogging it was really hard to motivate myself to get caught up.  Terence and I were talking about it the other night and I determined that even if I do not get all 365 blogs for the year I will keep my blog on a regular basis since it's my journal.

Today was a beautiful Sunday.  We went to church and after we met Jared and Emily at a little park in Monroe.  We ended up playing there for a couple of hours.  Now it's 6:54 and all three of my guys are sound asleep in their beds.  I am sitting on my couch watching Ghost Adventures on netflix and debating if I want to cook myself something to eat.  I probably will just end up loading the dishwasher and going to bed.  I hope everyone else had a lovely Sunday!

It all began with an iPhone...

March was when our son celebrated his 17th birthday, and we got him an iPhone. He just loved it. Who wouldn't?

I celebrated my birthday in July, and my wife made me very happy when she bought me an iPad.

Our daughter's birthday was in August so we got her an iPod Touch.

My wife celebrated her birthday in September so I got her an iRon.

It was around then that the fight started...

What my wife failed to recognize is that the iRon can be integrated into the home network with the iWash, iCook and iClean.

This inevitably activates the iNag reminder service.

I should be out of the hospital next week!!
