7:51

I don't know if I have mentioned this a lot or not but Terence has been working really hard lately to lose weight and get in better shape.  He has been going to the gym 5 days a week, eating healthy and generally trying to change his habits for the better.  He told me last night that one of his goals was to get under an eight minute mile.  I told him that was super fast and that it was going to be hard for him to do.  Today I get a text from him with a picture of a treadmill and a mile time of 7:51!  I am impressed!  That is a fast mile.  Terence is one of those people who when he sets his mind to something he does it.  Good job T!  I'm proud of you!

Busy Week!

This has been a super busy week at work so far!  I have not even had time to look at my blog until tonight.  I was in training all day today and yesterday I was up to my eyeballs in budgets and headcount.  I'm ready for the three day weekend!  Hopefully we will find something fun to do, anyone up for a BBQ?  Anyway that is all I have to say for tonight.  Oh yeah, I hurt my back yesterday and it's killing me.  OK, that's all!

not a lot to say

I don't have anything really interesting to say again tonight.  Oh well.  Today was another beautiful day!  I got home too late to really enjoy it but we did have a nice evening together as a family.  The boys ate oatmeal for dinner, one of their favorites.  We had our missionaries stop by on their way to another appointment and it was fun to chat with them for a few minutes.  Terence went to the church to play basketball with some guys in our ward.  I folded laundry (shocking, I know) and got the kids to bed.  I have been really restless lately and have been having a hard time sleeping.  I am really tired all day but when I actually lay down to sleep I can't go to sleep.  Hopefully I won't have that problem tonight.  Good night everyone!

Sunshine!

I am so happy we have had sunshine the last couple of days.  After work today I met Jared at the park with the boys.  We let the kids play until they were exhausted.  Although now it's 10pm and the kids are still wide awake so I guess that plan was not fool proof.  I guess it's supposed to be nice until this weekend so we plan on making the most of it.  Probably will end up fishing at the lake at some point this week.  I hope this weather means summer is on the way!  I am so ready for the sunshine!

Cruise

I have had a hard time blogging lately.  I want to I just don't feel like I have anything important enough to say to actually blog about it.  Anyway, we went on a super fun cruise this weekend.  Heather and Brooks, Brian and Terence and I went.  My parents drove us up from Washington to Vancouver to drop us off and the car ride up was so much fun.  We pretty much laughed and joked the entire time.  I LOVED spending so much time with my family but especially Heather.  She is so fun and we so rarely get to just sit and laugh.  It was awesome!  We had to get through the line at the cruise terminal which took us about an hour and a half.  We found out later that for some of the people getting on the boat it took over three hours to get through the line.  We were glad we got there a little early.  Once on the boat we spent most of the time eating.  The food was really good which kind of surprised me.  I was expecting things to be cold and not very good quality since that has mostly been my experience with food produced in large quantities.  That was not the case at all.  It was all fresh and hot and tasted great!  My only complaint was that we just did not have enough time to really do or see everything on the boat.  Hopefully next time we go we can go on a longer cruise (preferably somewhere warm).

Tired!

Why is it when I am super tired my kids decide they don't want to sleep.  I am downstairs right now watching the end of Survivor waiting for the sweet sound of snoring children.  Instead I can hear them upstairs talking to each other and walking between rooms.  I can also hear one of them playing in the drawers in the bathroom.  I wish they would just go to sleep!  Part of the problem is that they both take long naps at daycare (which I think they are both too old to take) and they school will not wake them up.  Corey, especially, ends up sleeping two hours a day.  When bed time rolls around he's still good to go for a few more hours.  Oh well, not a whole lot I can do about it.  I will just wait for them to fall asleep and then I am off to bed!  Good night everyone!

Day at the Dentist

Terence and I both had fillings done on our teeth today.  Mine was scheduled, his was not.  He broke a filling in one of his back molars over the weekend and had to go in today to get it fixed.  We both have really sore teeth now but at least all dental work has been taken care of for the time being.  We really like our dentist!  He does a really good job.  It's nice to have someone you can trust to work on your teeth.  It's hard to find.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms out there!  I hope you all have wonderful, relaxing, pampered days!  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful Mom and Mother in Law!  They are both such amazing women and I have so much to learn from both of them.  I hope that one day I can be half the Mother that they are!  It is so nice to know I can count on them for anything day or night.  It also has really fun to see what wonderful Grandma's they are and to see how much they enjoy spending time with our boys!  Happy Mother's Day Mom and Mom!  Have a fantastic day!  I love you both!

Thursday

I had such a fun day Thursday and cannot believe I don't have a single picture to show for it.  My cousin Linda was in town so I took the day off of work so we could spend some time together.  Between the two of us we have 5 kids all boys all in booster seats or car seats.  We managed to pile everyone into her van and then tried to decided what to do.  With that many boys (all five and under) we did not have a lot of options.  Going to a park was out because it was raining, we did not want to take them to the zoo because it would just turn into a bunch of wrangling whinny wet kids and shopping was definitely not an option.  We settled on taking the kids to the play area at Bellevue Square (which was packed!).  We let the kids run around there while we sat and talked.  It's been so long since Linda and I have just been able to sit down one on one and have a conversation.  Once the kids decided they were done we took them to McDonald's in Redmond and let them eat lunch and play in the play area.  We were probably there for about two hours before Linda had to get back to Federal Way.  The kids had a great time together and it was really fun to spend some time with one of my best friends!  I cannot wait to see her again.

The 30 Day Service Project

I have been feeling pretty self centered lately.  I feel like everything I have done has been for myself.  I have so many amazing loving people in my life who go out of their way to make my day better.  So in an effort to turn outward instead of inward I am starting the 30 day service project.  Yes I came up with that title myself.  Basically my goal will be for 30 days I will do at least one act of service a day.  These do not have to be big things just something to help someone else every day.  Wish me luck!  I will blog about it to let you know how it's going.

Tuesday

• today was very busy at work
• we announced a re org for our team which means that I am now doing twice the work I was before
• I will be doing twice the work for the next 2 months
• I am stressed out
• I find when I am stressed I tend to obsess about random things

• Terence and I both have sore throats right now
• I had four fillings done today
• I am taking Thursday and Friday off this week
• I will be spending time with Linda on Thursday
• not sure what we are doing  yet
• will be spending time with two of my good friends on Friday to celebrate their birthday
• I just have to get through tomorrow
• I guess Wednesday is my Friday this week
• Jealous?
• I really would love some Taco time right now
• If it was not an hour drive round trip I would go get some
• I turned off the heat in my house today
• Terence cooked dinner again tonight!

Monday

Today was kind of the pits!  Work was stressful, I had to be there earlier then normal and stay late.  I had a bunch of meetings that prevented me from getting my work done and a last minute fire drill that required me to drop everything and work on that.  Needless to say I did not get a lot done.  I called my Mom at 3:30 to see if she could possibly pick up the kids from daycare and let them play at her house for a bit so they did not have to be at daycare for 10 hours today.  They LOVED going to Grandma and Grandpa's house and had a great time.  Thank you Mom!  I was kind of grouchy as I was driving home and was stressing about how messy the house was and what I was going to cook for dinner.  As I walked in the door Terence was in the process of making grilled cheese sandwiches and soup for the boys.  He also had vacuumed and unloaded the dishwasher for me.  I can HONESTLY say there is nothing better than coming home and having the things you were just stressing about done!  I love my husband, he's amazing! 

History!

What a great day in American history.  President Obama's speech was very good!  I love this country and am so proud to be an American.  In honor of this great day, we have our flag flying proudly on our house.  Everyone else should do the same!  Show the pride you feel for this amazing country!
