Questions?

To answer some commonly asked questions about this pregnancy.

  1. YES!  It was planned!  We discussed it and both of us felt like our family was not complete.  we decided together that we had one more person waiting to come to our home.  We could not be more thrilled.
  2. YES!  This is our last child!  I know I said that when I was pregnant with Tyson but there was always a voice in the back of my head nagging me that maybe that was not the case.  This time I don't have that.  I am very comfortable saying that we are done at four.
  3. YES!  I have been VERY sick this pregnancy.  I always get nauseated when I am pregnant but this time I have been consistently throwing up.  Almost daily.  No matter what I do or eat. I have tried all the remedies they tell you to.  I have also tried some pretty off the wall stuff.  I even have a prescription for Zofran which is an anti nausea medication.  Nothing helps except for sleep!  You can't throw up when you are sleeping!
  4. YES!  We would love for this to be a little girl!  We are not counting on it though.  After I found out Tyson was a boy my brother in law sent me an article about the likely hood of having one gender over the other once you have had consecutive boys or girls.  Your odds go from 50/50 to something like 80/20 so they are definitely not in our favor.  We are OK with that.  This baby will be loved and very much wanted either way!
  5. NO!  We're not worried about having four kids!  Honestly I feel like once you have had three what's one more.  We already have the car for it.  We are already out numbered.  Our kids already share a bedroom.  What's adding one more to the mix?  I was raised in a big family and it was one of the best experiences of my life.  I am so excited that my children will have that blessing as well!
  6. NO!  We don't have any names picked out.  For the first time for Terence and I we don't have the names before the baby.  In fact this is the first time we can't even agree on names.  We do have middle names picked but first names have eluded us so far.
  7. My due date is September 22nd!  Knowing me I will probably have them a little earlier then that.  As long as they are not born on September 11th we will be thrilled!
  8. NO!  We are not crazy!
  9. YES!  We can't wait to meet this little one!

I'm PREGNANT!

And I am so glad the cat is out of the bag!  Due to having a couple of miscarriages in the past, Terence and I decided to keep it quiet until we were sure that everything was going to be OK.  We found out I was pregnant on January 8th.  Terence went to work that morning and after getting Connor off to school I decided I would take a pregnant test.  We had been planning to get pregnant for about three months before this but had not been successful so I was not expecting much.  I took the test and got a super faint line!  So faint I was not sure if it was even there.  The test I had was just a very cheap drug store brand test and so I was not sure how accurate it was.  I got the kids dressed and ran out to Monroe to get a First Response Early Response test as they are more sensitive then the other tests.  I took it and sure enough, TWO PINK LINES!  I was so sure I was not pregnant that I was kind of shocked.  I just did not expect to see a positive test.  I was super excited!  I wanted to come up with a cute way to tell Terence so I got a girl newborn outfit and a boy newborn outfit and wrapped them up with the two tests and a note that said "you don't know if I'll be wearing pink or blue but I sure can't wait to meet you.  See you in September, Daddy!".  -

When he came home I gave Terence the present.  He was pretty excited.  We decided at that point we were not going to tell anyone until I was further along and we knew everything would be OK.  Now here we are, I am 10 weeks pregnant and everything is going great!  I'm really looking forward to having the last Keenan baby and completing our family!
