A place to call home

So as some of you may or may not know, Terence and I have to move by the end of October.  I won't go into all the hairy details but suffice it to say it stinks!  We are looking for a place to move that will have enough room for our soon to be family of five plus our two dogs.  It's not as easy as it sounds.  We would prefer to stay out in Sultan because we love our ward and we love the area.  I know we still have some time but I am already starting to stress about it.  The thought of cleaning, packing, de-junking, moving, unpacking, you get the picture, while 6 months pregnant sounds like a pretty insurmountable task.  If you know of anyone who may be renting their home, at a good price, who is not going into foreclosure, or planning on going into foreclosure, who would accept dogs and children, let me know.

We need a camera!

Our old camera (which I loved!) died on us a few weeks back.  I think it got wet and now it won't turn on at all.  So Terence and I are in the market for a new camera.  We could go to Costco and buy another camera similar to the one we had before but I kind of want to get something nice.  We take some many pictures of the boys and with blogging and everything I would really like an SLR.  Unfortunately they are pretty pricey!  I thought of buying one used but that always makes me a little nervous since you don't know for sure what you are getting.  We are trying to save money for our impending move so a camera will probably have to wait for a while.  Oh well!  A girl can dream, huh?  Maybe we will get something new before the baby comes.  Have to have a camera to take pictures of that!

Lunch

Today my lunch consisted of wild mushroom bisque, a yogurt and a cup of green olives.  Last night all I wanted to eat was eggs and toast.  Pregnancy cravings are the weirdest things ever!  Why can't I just want to eat a nice healthy salad and an apple?  Actually now that I write that out it does sound pretty good.

Lovely Weekend!

We had such a nice weekend together!  On Friday night Terence and I had the opportunity of going on somewhat of an impromptu date.  We went and saw the Harry Potter movie and aside from the fact that Terence started feeling sick halfway through the movie we had a great time (I blame Voldemort for his stomach ache).  On Saturday Terence went out golfing with his Dad and then went fishing with my Dad and brother.  I stayed home with my boys and although I truly had every intention of cleaning the house the farthest I got was vacuuming the floors and cleaning the kitchen.  When Terence got home from fishing his stomach was really bothering him again so he went upstairs and took and nap and the boys and I hung out and watched a movie.  I know it was beautiful on Saturday but I just was feeling so lazy!  We did not even go outside.  Sunday we went to church and afterwards we spent some time with Jared and Emily down at the river.  It was beautiful and we explored all the trails that go back there and let the kids play in the water.  I'm glad we did because today seems to be another cloudy, Seattle mess!

What the heck?

This ad came up on my Facebook page the other day.  Found it kind of weird/inappropriate.

Random Thoughts

I'm tired
I threw up my lunch today
I went to lunch with my Dad, Brian and Terence
that part was fun
I need a night out with my husband minus the kids
sugar leaves a weird taste in my mouth
I made nasi last night for the first time ever
it turned out amazing!
I used my mom's recipe
my house needs some serious cleaning
we have 3 and a half months to find someplace to live
moving is not high on my list of favorite things to do
I have a meeting a three today but really would prefer to go home
I have a lot of blogs to catch up on
I think my camera might be broken
it won't turn on even with the battery fully charged
I have not told Terence about it yet
guess he knows now :)
the sun is shinning right now
makes me want to go outside
maybe we will walk down to the river tonight or something
I love having so many rivers so close to our house
I am helping with a baby shower tomorrow
I'm supposed to plan some games
I don't have any planned
I also need to buy a gift
tomorrow is the Sultan Shindig
we are going to take our kids to the parade in town
Emily's Grandpa is the Grand Marshall of the shindig this year
that means we almost know a celebrity
he was also in a Mariner's comercial once
That's probably enough randomness for now.

First Bee Sting

Yesterday my team had a picnic at Vasa Park in Bellevue.  It was for families so I brought the boys with me.  They had a blast!  There was a bounce house for them to play in, all kinds of food and games, a photo booth, a play ground.  Pretty much anything you can think of to keep two little boys entertained and content for hours!  At one point yesterday Corey walked away from me and not two seconds later I heard him screaming!  Any mother recognizes her own child's cry and I could tell that he was hurt.  He ran over to me holding his hand out.  He had gotten stung by a bee.  I pulled the stinger out and put some ice on it.  Fortunately one of the bartenders had a topical treatment called Stingeeze or something like that.  It helps take the sting out of it a little.  Within 10 minutes he was off playing again with no permanent injury.  His hand is pretty swollen today but I think it's just because of where the sting is.

For anyone who remembers Vasa park is actually the same park that Jamie had a bee fly into her soda and sting her lip at a Mutual travel picnic.  I guess we have come full circle!
