Saturday

Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous weather and we being from the Great North West we know that when you have a day with great weather you take full advantage. So after Terence and I went to our biggest loser weigh in (we both lost 3.9lbs a piece) we headed out to enjoy the day. Actually we first headed to the gym and got that out of the way then we headed out. Terence had to go do some mysterious shopping so while he was gone we put Corey down for a nap and I took Connor outside to help me work in the yard. We got our front yard cleaned up, mowed, got rid of all the weeds, fertilized the grass and put roundup on the cracks in the sidewalk. Connor had a great time “helping me” dig up the weeds but mostly he was entertained at all the different bugs we found in the garden. He named all the snails Gary (guess he has watched a little too much SpongeBob) and we had a special treat of seeing a tree frog under our house. Connor was fascinated by this little frog and I wish I had taken a picture of it. He named him Green Frog, fitting but not very original if you ask me. After we finished working in the yard we came in the house and crashed on the couch since Corey was still sleeping. Connor rarely takes naps these days but he ended up curling up on me and falling asleep. I was frying hot but I did not want to move him because I love it when my kids fall asleep on me! Terence had to get up and leave around 3:30 to go to a softball game that he was playing in with some people in our ward. His team won!
Jared and Emily came over for S’mores to round out the evening. I don’t know what it if about fire and wood chopping but guys love it. Jared and Terence took turns chopping and Jared tended to the fire. It was a great way to round out a beautiful day!
