Moving

If you did not read my last blog then you probably don't know this but, we moved!  Terence and I moved out of our house we bought in Sultan four and a half years ago into a rental home, also in Sultan. The new house is smaller then our old house but to us it actually feels bigger.  We have a great yard for the kids and the dogs to play in and it's only a one story house so we use a lot more of the space.  We spent the week before the move getting rid of anything and everything we possibly could and taking the rest to Good Will.  I'm talking truck loads of toys and clothes!  It felt AMAZING to purge everything.  I walk through my house now and feel great knowing that the closets are all organized, the rooms are all clean and everything has a place.  The one exception to this is the garage which could still use some work.  Terence and I have decided we are going to do that this week.

One other really amazing thing came out of this move and that was realizing how truly blessed Terence and I are.  We knew we had some spectacular friends and family but I did not realize how selfless and amazing they actually were until I faced the daunting task of packing and moving.  In particular one of my best friends, Felicia was at my house every single day for six days in a row (with her newborn baby in tow) helping me go through things, organize, pack and move boxes, bringing us dinner, cleaning, helping me completely unpack and organize our new house.  She was absolutely amazing and invaluable.  I can never thank her enough for her service that she provided to our family.  My brother, Jared, was also a major help as he came over and spent a day with me helping me get my garage cleaned out and organized.  I have always had a hard time accepting service from others even though it has always been generously offered.  I am so grateful that they were so willing to help and I am excited for the chance to repay their generosity.

On our actual moving day we also had some additional help with my parents, Terence's parents, our Elders from our ward, our home teacher and Felicia's husband Josh.  Emily helped out by making breakfast for everyone which was awesome since I did not have any food, pots or pans in my house.

It is so nice to be settled in our new place and know that some of the chaos and struggles from the past year are behind us.  I wish I had some pictures to post but I have not really taken any.  So if you want to see the house stop by Sultan for a visit.
