Corey!

In all the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks (Terence’s promotion, Tyson being born, Christmas, New Years) Corey’s birthday has kind of snuck up on us.  My little Corey turns FOUR on Tuesday.  Corey has so much personality and he’s so fun to be around.  I remember my parents saying when I was growing up that they hoped one day I had a child who was just like me, I think Corey is that child.  He is stubborn and opinionated; he will push everything to the very edge.  My Dad says that when I was kid if I was told to get out of the road because a car was coming I would stay in the road just to be contrary and Corey is very much the same way.  On the other hand he is very sweet, loves his brothers, is eager to please and thrilled when you tell him he has done a good job.  He is looking for ways to establish his own identity right now and so we are trying to give him those opportunities.  One of the things we have been trying lately is splitting the older two boys up to allow them one on one time with us.  Corey LOVES this and especially loves spending time with his Daddy.  Out of the older two boys he is the athlete.  He loves spending time throwing a ball, wrestling, jumping on the trampoline, anything that allows him to burn some energy.  I cannot believe that four years have passed since he was born.  I still remember it like it was yesterday.  It goes so fast.  I am just trying to enjoy every minute.
