Why is it when I am super tired my kids decide they don't want to sleep. I am downstairs right now watching the end of Survivor waiting for the sweet sound of snoring children. Instead I can hear them upstairs talking to each other and walking between rooms. I can also hear one of them playing in the drawers in the bathroom. I wish they would just go to sleep! Part of the problem is that they both take long naps at daycare (which I think they are both too old to take) and they school will not wake them up. Corey, especially, ends up sleeping two hours a day. When bed time rolls around he's still good to go for a few more hours. Oh well, not a whole lot I can do about it. I will just wait for them to fall asleep and then I am off to bed! Good night everyone!

The daycare won't wake them up if it is keeping them from sleeping at night. Zach is ok with a nap, but never later than about 2pm. But if Ben falls asleep for even 2 seconds he won't go to bed until after 11pm and it is a nightmare.
They said they are not allowed to wake them up if they are sleeping. Corey takes HOURS to fall asleep at night. It's so frustrating.
Can they keep him from napping at all? Maybe then he would be tired at night, when he should be. Seems like it is creating an unhealthy sleep cycle. It seems so based on individual kids needs. Could he play quiet somewhere when kids that need it sleep?
To me, if he didn't take a nap during the day, after a week or so, he would be falling asleep at like 7 or 8, and getting good sleep and not being tired when you have to get him up to go. Then not needing the nap.
