Our fun weekend!

We had a really fun weekend unfortunately all the pictures I took of it were deleted by accident from my camera so I will just have to paint a picture for you. We started out on Saturday morning by cleaning our church building. The person in our ward who is responsible for getting people to clean the church is extremely commit ed to his calling and keeps a list of who has done it and how long it has been since the last time you did it. This means that our turn comes around About every 3 months (although sometimes it seems like a lot more then that). After we were done doing that we went to the Sultan Bakery. Anytime we tell someone we live in Sultan the first thing they ask is if we have ever eaten at the Sultan bakery. A year and a half later we can finally say we have. It was good but I don't know that it lived up to the hype.
Next we made our way to the Microsoft Company picnic. Every year Microsoft puts on a huge picnic for all of it full time employees and their families. It's so big that they have to do it over two weekends. It's held at Mountain Meadows Farm in North Bend. This year in addition to the tons of food they have which include beef ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers, Corn on the cob and french fries with basil pesto mayonnaise, they also had tons of fun things for the kids to do. For the younger kids they had a toddler area that had all kinds of little toys for them to play and climb on. For older kids they had all kinds of blow up obstacle courses and big bouncers. For the adults they had a casino where you could play table games, a massage tent, a mechanical bull and a climbing wall (plus lots more). We got there pretty early ate and then took Connor around to play. Unfortunately he's a little small still for most of it so we ended up leaving kind of early.
After the picnic we headed over to our friend Dan and Susan's house. Dan and Susan are in the process of adopting two adorable little girls. Michaela 2 and Desiree 4. Connor and the girls got along really well and had a fun time playing together while us adults caught up. The Susan decided she was going to cut my hair. She is a cosmetologist and cuts hair on the side to help make money for their family. She did a good job she just thinned out what was already there. It now looks more like what I was originally going for when I cut my hair the first time.
Today we did not do as much. We went to church came home and everyone took a much needed three hour nap. My ideal Sunday afternoon.
